KUWAIT The Iranian handball team was beaten in its third match in the 2nd West Asian Games against the host country of Kuwait Monday.

Playing in the Fahd al-Ahmad Sports Complex, Iran lost to the Kuwaiti side 28-21.

Kuwait that is the Asian champion beat Iran 12-7 in the first half.

In its first fight, Iran lost to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and won the second against Oman.

According to IRNA, in another match on Monday, the UAE defeated the representative of Qatar 29-24 and the Syrian side overcame Oman 37-30.
